Okay, so you probably remember the reviews of Clairol/Herbal Essences products I’ve been posting. I know, I know-it’s been a long time! Unfortunately, two of the five members of my sales team quit within the last month, so I’ve been picking up all the extra hours. Yuck! Anyway, I’ve got two products to share with you briefly, and then we’ll take a look back!
Because I’d been enjoying the Herbal Essences products I was testing, I decided to pick up a can of Body Envy, a volumizing hair spray. I try not to splurge when I’m waiting for the dumb asses at the pharmacy to correctly fill my prescription. However, since this baby only costs $3.99, I didn’t feel bad about buying it!
It’s part of the Body Envy line, which also contains Shampoo, Conditioner, Styling Gel, and Mousse–all which boast “lots of bounce for the ounce.” The scent of pink coral flower and white nectarine is absolutely heavenly; I get compliments on how my hair smells EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it!!!
I don’t use a lot of hair spray, so I probably am not the best person to rate this. However, I really did like this guy. I didn’t find it to be hugely volumizing, but I bet it would work a lot better if I’d used a volume-boosting shampoo and conditioner combo beforehand. However, I can say that it adds a nice sheen and holds my hair pretty well, without being crunchy or overbearing at all!
Finally, there’s the last product I tried-Clairol’s Shine Happy, from the Natural Instincts line. The reason it’s taken me so long to review this product is that you don’t use it until at least 4 weeks after you color your hair, and I waited more like six.
My hair is naturally really shiny, and I take good care of it with the best quality products I can afford (which in this case are super cheap, because Herbal Essences is amazing!).
Fortunately, Shine Happy did manage to add a bit of shine. If you have dull hair, I bet this product will rock it-I’m just pretty blessed with the height of my natural sheen! I did really like the scent, and my hair felt nice afterwards. If you’re feeling a little lackluster, give it a try!
The resulting shine lasts up to four weeks, and the box also contains a nice upkeep conditioner!
Okay, so here’s the full review wrap up:
Now, if you don’t think any of the products I’ve reviewed are quite right for you, don’t worry! Herbal Essences has a WIDE range of products, and there’s definitely something for you. Check out the entire list here. Once you decide which product(s) to try, head over to drugstore.com and take advantage of their sale on Clairol/Herbal Essences products (all are up to 30% off).
I’m also really interested in the new line from Herbal Essences: Hydralicious. They’re swirled shampoos and conditioners that look like berries and cream. Yum! You’ve got three pairs of choices: featherweight, reconditioning, and self-targeting. I’m so stocked up on shampoo and conditioner right now that I won’t be letting myself buy anything for a while, but if you check them out, I’d love to hear what you think!
