Alright ladies… This must be hard to believe, but I haven’t owned a pair of jeans in years. The last pair I owned was for in-house wear only, and thus I haven’t worn jeans in public for about six years.
This Saturday, my mother convinced me to let her buy me a pair (big concession, I know, hah). Let me just tell you: I am so freakin’ happy! It took forever to find a pair, but I’m so pleased that I did-and I’m so lucky that my mom dug through racks of pants in order to find a pair that would look great and be comfortable.
I settled on the pair pictured-Lee’s Relaxed Fit Boot Cut Jeans in Sapphire. You can get a pair online for $29.99, but mine were on sale for $21.99 at Sears. The only downside? I had to get a size EIGHTEEN! Normally, I wear a TEN… So why, Lee’s, WHY? It was a total bummer to see that number on the tag, but I’m so comfortable that I’m trying to deal. I also picked up a pair of sneakers to make exercising less of a task (flip flops are NOT made for power walking)-so hopefully I won’t have to deal with such a horror again when I pick up another pair!
So, dolls, I concede. As much as I prefer the aesthetic of skirts and high heels, sometimes jeans are the best choice. That goes double for any class that starts before 10 A.M.!

Hey Laney, love your blog! You’re such a great writer (lemme guess, English major? ; )
As for the size on the label…bah! Cut it off and forget about it : )

Hey Jazmin! I’m so glad you enjoy the site! And yes, I’m a Professional Writing major : D
I’m totally cutting the tag off, but still!!! WHY? I really wish there was some sort of universal sizing. Having clothes from size 8-18 that all fit is ridiculous!
