Fantastic Feet!

I’ll admit it: My dog’s paws are often significantly smoother than mine. I guzzle water by the gallon, and yet my skin is chronically dry. I’m also a shoe addict, and the combination of high heels and pointy toes featured in many of my favorite pairs often results in unsightly bumps and blisters. This is also the first summer I’ve dared to bare my toes, so the problem really needed attention. Thankfully, I found a gang of fantastic foot products that smoothed my hooves and banished my summer blues!

First up is the Body Shop’s Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray. I cannot tell you how much I love this product! At the beginning of the summer I went on a little shopping spree on the Body Shop’s website. There are few things I hate more than noticing my feet are slipping in my shoes because of perspiration, and then feeling self conscious about *shudders* foot odor when I sleep the offending sandals off! The words “peppermint” and “cooling” caught my eye right away-as did the cute blue bottle!
Three months later, I’m not regretting my splurge… something I wish I could say about a few of my other online whims lately! Just a spritz cools and dries my feet instantly, and the peppermint smell is never overbearing. In fact, the spray works as a refreshing body mist when I’m caught unprepared. And for only $10.00 for a 3.4 fl oz bottle, it’s not an unattainable quick-fix! I look forward to trying the other products in this line: the Peppermint Foot Mask, Peppermint Cooling Pumice Foot Scrub, and Peppermint Cooling Foot Soak all sound incredibly soothing!

Another favorite of mine is the Ped Egg. I know I’m not the first Beauty Blogger to mention this product lately, but a product this good certainly bears repeating! Usually, I refrain from buying infomercial products (would somebody PLEASE punch Mr. OxiClean in the face for me???), but when the Ped Egg showed up in my local Sally Beauty Supply, I couldn’t resist.
At first, I was concerned about using a product that basically looked like a cheese grater for my feet. However, I braved imaginary fangs and began to file. Can I just say, Wow! If only foot filing were socially acceptable, I’d take mine to work with me! Since it’s so easy and thought free to use, I like to Ped Egg while I’m watching TV or talking on the phone. Even just a few minutes of Saturday Night Beauty on QVC and my heels are feeling ready to be kicked up! And, since the Ped Egg is only supposed to be used on dry skin, it works well in conjuncture with the foot spray! Just a quick spray and your feet are dry and ready to go! The Ped Egg is available at, among other retailers, Target–for a meager $9.99!

The last item in my blister banishing line up? L’Occitane’s Dry Skin foot Cream. $25 is a bit steep for a foot cream… But it’s a cheap price for a tube of Heaven. The sleek silver tube and 15% Shea Butter alone are worth the price, but I haven’t even mentioned the heavenly scent of lavender that envelops me every time I open the tube? After a brisk Ped Egging, I follow the tube’s instructions and, “using both hands, apply cream with circular massaging motions to the feet.” Topped off with a pair of comfy socks, not even a spa could get my feet this soft! If you want to try it for yourself but don’t want to drop $25 on a foot cream, you can head over to L’Occitane’s website and pick up a trial size tube for $10!

With none of these products over $10, you can pick up all three for a mere $30. Last time I checked, that’s about how much a pedicure costs! However, when you take the trio home you can give yourself a little spa experience every month, and only drop the money once!
