Yesterday Elie Tahari held a launch, benefiting Safe Horizon at her Soho boutique. A few A-list ladies showed up to give their support to launch, and among them was Sucker Punch starlet, Jamie Chung. Everything about this look is spot on for spring, I love skirt, the jacket, and especially how she didn’t try to make New York look warmer than it is, and go bare on the legs. This look is very easy breezy, and it looks flirty and season-appropriate. Jamie earns mega-bucks working in movies and such, but you don’t need her designer picks to recreate this spring outfit. If you wanted to score this look it wouldn’t take much more than a few everyday pieces you already have in your closet. Just in case you don’t though, here’s a little something I put together to help you out!
I know the skirt has a band at the top, but I like the way this looks with the top of the shirt covering the top of the skirt, as opposed to tucking in the shirt like Jamie did. This makes it much easier to wear the look with or without a blazer. My pick for the blazer however are not exactly the same as Jamie’s plain black one, but it suits this type of look very well. Observe below:
This blazer can be worn inside out with the beading showing, or just the matte side. You could instantly dress up a casual outfit, or tone down a dressy look with just one item. A dark cardigan would work just as well.
What are you excited to wear for spring? Do you like the picks I selected?
