What good are all your fabulous, fashionable clothes if they are dirty and wrinkled? None! And you don’t want to ruin them putting through the washer and dryer every week either. That’s why it’s really important to have a good washer and dryer.
I recently had the opportunity to review and try out the new Kenmore Elite 5.2 cu. ft. high-efficiency top-load washer with Smart Motionâ„¢ Technology and matching 7.3 cu. ft. Gas Dryer with Steam Generator. These machines are Aaaaamazing!!!
These are top of the line, stylish machines that will change the way you do laundry. Seriously. I used to hate doing laundry and now it’s actually kinda fun. Yes, I just said laundry was FUN! Well it is now anyway… I mean, I actually look forward to using these machines and all the high tech settings!
Course it took me like 2 hours to read all the manuals before I did my first load of laundry. THAT was a little intimidating, but made me realize how seriously awesome these machines really are. I normally wouldn’t want to buy something with so many buttons thinking it would be too confusing, but it’s actually really easy after a couple of loads.
The washer is SO big, it has actually made doing laundry take less time because instead of doing 10 loads of laundry, I only have to do 5 loads. And the gas dryer dries clothes so much faster than my old electric dryer, plus they are less wrinkled too.
The actual washing time is a bit longer than my old washing machine because it spins for quite a while, but this cuts down on the drying time by a LOT. Some fabrics come out almost completely dry. I hang most of my clothes on a clothes rack to save money, but this gas dryer is so much cheaper to use than my electric dryer that I can use it more often without worrying about the bill.
I have only been using this Kenmore pair for a couple weeks, but I have no complaints thus far. I will be posting again to give you an update on these machines because there is so much more to be said. So many features I have yet to try!

I haven’t been using these machines for very long but I love them so far. They are solid, stylish, have very innovative features that set them apart from any other washer or dryer I’ve ever seen. They pretty much have everything you’d want in a washer and dryer, except sort the clothes for you. They also won’t put them away. Maybe in the future they’ll make a model that does that!
