“With appetizing entrées from Good Earth, dining in is sure to become the new dining out. Enjoy cooking a sophisticated, restaurant-quality meal in the comfort of your own home. Each variety includes vibrant and flavorful sauces along with specialty ingredients like sweet basil, white wine and dried tomatoes. Delicious dinners that allow you to keep a healthy lifestyle without sacrificing taste, Good Earth dry dinner kits are perfect for whipping up a no-fail, five-star cuisine in less than 30 minutes.”
Earlier this year, I relied on healthy frozen meals for dinner. They were easy, provided portion control, and provided all nutrition right on the package. Lately, though, I’ve been cooking for myself a lot more. I feel like after eating the pre-made meals, I got a better hold on eating healthy and eating appropriate portions.
While cooking ensures I use a lot of fresh ingredients and even burn a few calories before dinner, it can be a bit challenging. I’m not a master chef, so I don’t always think up exciting combinations or know how to use spices. Box meals like the ones offered by Good Earth are a great solution for those days that lack inspiration. They use great, healthy ingredients that are flavorful – and when paired with a salad or other veggie side dish, they make a fabulous dinner.
100% whole grain, no trans fat, no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives, no MSG – just add meat and, voila! Dinner is served.
There are four versions available: Mediterranean Chicken with angel hair pasta, Spicy Citrus Glazed Shrimp with angel hair pasta, Herb Crusted Chicken with mushroom risotto and Tuscan Chicken with penne pasta.I received the Mediterranean kit to try. At first I was a bit wary, because I hate raw chicken (one of the few ingredients required, along with water & olive oil). This was actually my first time cooking raw chicken, but I did it!
The whole meal was really easy to prepare, only used 2 pots, and was ready in 20 – 30 minutes. It produced enough to feed 3 hungry adults, so it’s perfect for a couple (with leftovers) and likely for a family with two children. You can also add more chicken to make the meal go further.
Along with the Good Earth Kit, My Blog Spark also sent me a bamboo tote, bamboo cutting board, small bamboo plates and bamboo utensils. They’re all really attractive, adorable pieces – so much so that I don’t know if I’ll actually use them, or just put them on display!
CONTEST INFO: One winner will receive the same kit that I reviewed (Good Earth Mediterranean kit, tote, bamboo accessories). This giveaway will run until 11:59 PM EST June 28, 2010. You must complete the Mandatory Entry before any extra entries will be counted. Please leave a separate comment for each extra entry.

All four entrees sound so good, it is a toss up between the Mediterranean Chicken and the Spicy Glazed Shrimp! Since the giveaway is the Mediterranean Chicken, that is the one I would choose!
