“Popcorn, Indiana cooks up the perfect gourmet snack, one that spans the taste spectrum: it’s crispy, crunchy, salty and sweet, comforting and familiar. It’s popcorn’s redemption – a new take on a familiar classic. And it does it the old-fashioned way – the 100% natural ingredients are lovingly hand-crafted. Now that’s integrity. Popcorn, Indiana has created freshness and flavor that can’t be duplicated in the microwave oven. Nor do its products have any hidden chemicals that leave an aftertaste or alter its authenticity. Popcorn, Indiana is straight from the farm to the table.”
Flavors include Cinnamon Sugar, Famous Original Kettlecorn, Movie Theater Popcorn, Aged White Cheddar Kettlecorn, Smoked Cheddar Cheese Ketlecorn, Buffalo Cheddar Kettlecorn, and Sea Salt Popcorn – and as if those aren’t enough, more flavors are coming this year, too!
I was thrilled when I received a surprise box containing three flavors of one of my favorite forgotten snacks! My mom used to buy Popcorn Indiana products for me, but for whatever reason, I haven’t had any in recent months. Getting to “review” a few flavors – as if I could forget how delicious this snack is – was a welcome afternoon treat!
One of the hardest parts of eating healthy for me is not getting the salty (or sweet) crunchy snacks that I so love. Popcorn Indiana offers a great substitute for unhealthy movie popcorn and the usual potato chips. A serving size is 2.5 cups, and in all the flavors I’ve tried, that’s resulted in less than 150 calories. Yes, you read that right – TWO AND A HALF CUPS for UNDER 150 CALORIES! When is that ever a snack reality?
The Cinnamon Sugar is one of my favorite flavors, as it’s a great snack for nights when I’m craving potato chips AND something sugary but don’t want to completely blow all my healthy eating choices for the day. I also got to try the Smoked Cheddar Cheese, which is perfect to have with lunch of curb my savory cravings – the ones that usually strike mid-evening. And the original flavor? It’s great for any time of the day. You can even sprinkle on your own seasonings without blowing your healthy snack (ranch is a great option).
So now that your mouth is watering, where can you purchase your own Popcorn Indiana snack products? Pretty much anywhere! CVS, Duane Reade, Food Emporium, Stop & Shop, Walmart, Whole Foods, Costco, and many more locations! Just check your local grocery store and you’re likely to find a bag. 3.5 oz bags retail for $2.29, but I recommend the 7.5 size, which is only $3.99 – you’re going to want every last bit.
