I’ve been extremely sick for quite a long time now, so I haven’t had a chance to share the latest Degree news.
The last sensory experiences I received included Mary J. Blige’s newest CD, “Stronger with Each Tear“, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers that I was too exhausted to photograph. Sorry for the epic failure on my part.
The bouquet was representative of the sense of “touch,” as it let me add a touch of nature to my apartment! It also represented some of the ingredients in the new Nature Effects ingredients, including olive leaf, orange flower, honeysuckle, and tea tree oil. I love having flowers and natural ingredients in my home, as it makes the surroundings so much more pleasant. Degree Women shared this statistic with me: “88% of all women surveyed agree that bringing nature into their homes lowers stress and makes them happier.” Furthermore, “More than half surveyed keep plants at home to stay connected to nature.”
Mary J. Blige’s CD was obviously related to our sense of sound. Music is something I like to partake in while I’m working, hanging out at home, or driving in the car. However, there are better ways to enjoy it – ways that involve being outside! I recently treated myself to an iPod Nano so I could listen to music while exercising outside. What a treat! Degree Women told me that “77% of women say nature-inspired scents make them feel like the have been transported to a stress-free place.”
“Research shows that the closer you live to nature, the healthier you’re likely to be, and according to a recent survey by Degree Women, a little touch of nature goes a long way to imrpove a woman’s mood throughout the day. Women now have an easy way to infuse a little nature into their daily routines, thanks to new Degree Women Natureffects anti-antiperspirants/deodorants and matching body mists.”
The following are statistics and suggestions from Degree Women. I did not write them!
~Get out! While most women say nature makes them feel good, a majority don’t get out nearly enough. In fact, 85% of all those surveyed say they would like to spend more time outdoors. Many women (40%) have even gone so far as to call in sick just so they enjoy a beautiful day outside.
~Bring the Outdoors In! If there’s no way out, bring nature in. Women find making room for a touch of nature in their daily routines improve the way they live. Almost everyone agrees (88%) that bringing nature into their homes lowers stress and makes them happier. More than half surveyed keep plants at home to stay connected to nature. And during the cold winter months, 54% fill their homes with nature-inspired scents like cranberry and cinnamon to lift their spirits.
~Chained to the Desk. The daily grind makes it harder for women to get the touch of nature they need, but a little nature goes a long way. 86% surveyed say just by taking their lunch outside they improve their productivity. And nearly one in four women say the outdoors makes them feel more energized. Not even cold weather can extinguish that passion — nearly 40% of women bundle up in the winter months and still make sure to get their outdoor fix.
~Natural Aphrodisiac. Nature seems to perk up more than just mood for most women. Nearly half of women surveyed (45%) admitted to getting it on outdoors and almost the same number (40%) have taken a dip sans clothes in the great outdoors.
~Uplifting and Scentsational. An overwhelming majority of women surveyed (81%) find that using products infused with nature improves their moods while nearly the same number (78%) say using products with fragrances inspired by nature makes them feel happier. More than three-fourths of women (77%) have gone one step further, saying that nature-inspired scents make them feel like they have been transported to a stress-free place.
Stay tuned for a final post with the details of the new collection!
