GIVEAWAY: Yoplait Greek Yogurt and Stop & Shop $20 Gift Card!

Through My Blog Spark, I received the products above from Yoplait and Stop & Shop (4 cups of yogurt and a $20 gift card).  I was really excited to try the yogurt, as I’ve been working on counting calories and exercising this year.  100-calorie packs and other diet snacks are great, but rarely provide adequate nutrition or keep me full.  This Greek yogurt isn’t a diet product, but since it has 0 grams of fat and only 130 calories, this is a great breakfast or snack option.  Yogurt is so easy to “doctor,” too- I love adding berries, sliced bananas, granola or cereal, and even maple syrup!

“Each cup contains 12 grams of protein – two times that of the leading yogurt – and is available in four delicious flavors, including Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla, and Plain.  In addition, Yoplait is the only leading brand of Greek yogurt with Vitamins A and D.“

I’ve never had Greek yogurt before, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect.  When I first tried the Strawberry, I actually didn’t like it.  I’m used to yogurt being sweet and creamy, so the slightly bitter flavor and thick texture was off-putting at first.  However, I was excited about the low calories and zero grams of fat – not to mention the high protein – so I stuck with it.  With just a tiny bit of maple syrup mixed in (stick to the real stuff so you’re not adding anything gross and fake to your snack!), the yogurt is actually really good!  And the second flavor I tried, Vanilla Honey, is DELICIOUS!

BUY IT:  If you visit the Yoplait Greek website, you can print a coupon for thirty cents off.  The yogurt isn’t just available at Stop & Shop, so look for it at whichever grocery retailer is closest to you!  And while you’re on the site, check out all the great recipes you can make with Greek yogurt!
