“boscia products were created by Fancl Corporation. Based in Yokohama, Japan, the company was founded by Kenji Ikemori, a Japanese entrepreneur who has dedicated his career to developing effective skincare solutions. Mr. Ikemori envisioned a holistic approach to skincare that would include botanically-based, preservative-free products as well as oral supplements.
Gen Inomata, President of Fancl International, has continued Mr. Ikemori’s vision of preservative-free skincare promoting beauty from the inside out with its newest product line, boscia. Fancl has conducted extensive research and has specifically formulated the boscia products to meet the needs of American women and help solve a variety of their skincare problems.”
In addition to their normal lineup of healthy & nourishing skincare & makeup, boscia is featuring a special “pink” product this month:Â Rose Blotting Linens.
“Instantly blot away excess oil and perspiration without disturbing your makeup. Hint: let your personality shine, not your skin! Made from finely woven leaf fibers of the exotic Abaca Tree Plant and infused with the exquisitely feminine essence of Rose to help soothe your skin and uplift your psyche. Tip: Perfect for lipstick blotting too! Slim package fits perfectly in your pocket, handbag or desk drawer.”
Blotting linens are a staple for me, and these seem very high end and “fancy” to me. Normally, I find blotting linens to be cheap, waxy paper or powdery and unpleasantly scented. While I haven’t personally tried the Rose Blotting Linens, they’ve been added to my “Must-Have” list.
When I remember to keep my blotting papers (because really, my low-end ones aren’t linens), I generally use 1-2 a day. The pack from boscia has 100 sheets, which means that if your oil level is relatively average (like mine- a buildup of shininess throughout the day), you can expect a pack to last you 2 to 3 months. Considering that a pack is only $10, I think this is a wise investment! Also, 10% of the proceeds from each pack sold will go to the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation.
Want to score your own pack? boscia generously donated a pack of the Rose Blotting Linens to Fashionable Gals for a Cure! Look for Prize #4 which also includes a laptop tote from Carolina Pad, 2 Bra Barrettes, a Cashmere wrap from Nimli, PurpleLabNYC Lip Gloss, AND a $50 SuperShoes.com Gift Card. Each dollar you donate will earn you a chance towards this fabulous prize- so what are you waiting for?!
