I don’t know why I always wind up reading these articles when I’m hungry! My mom sent me another great article from Hungry Girl; this one is about movie-night snacks. I think they’re great for girls night, which you should be planning… Look forward to a few really cool DIY posts coming up here at The Fashionable Gal. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites; check out the whole article here.
Mini Fillo Shells + Snickers
2 Snickers-filled shells: 91 calories, 4.75g fat, 53mg sodium, 11g carbs, <0.5g fiber, 6g sugars, <1g protein
Here’s a great little treat to whip up for screening party. Cut a standard 2.1-oz. Snickers bar lengthwise into 2 strips, and then cut each strip into 5 pieces so you have 10 chunks total. Set out 10 mini fillo shells, pop a chunk into each, bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees, and VOILA! Delicious bite-sized sweets. (PS — Let ’em cool before you dig in.) We guarantee they’ll be gone before the plot twist surfaces.
94% Fat Free Popcorn + Tootsie Rolls
1 microwave-popped mini bag + 6 Tootsie Roll Midgees: 240 calories, 5g fat, 250mg sodium, 50g carbs, 3.5g fiber, 20g sugars, 3g protein
If you can’t decide if you wanna watch the tearjerker (salty) or the romance flick (sweet), this is the duo for you. Just chop your chocolate into tiny pieces, pop your corn in the microwave, and toss ’em together in one big bowl. You’ll have handfuls and handfuls of delicious snack mix to chew on. This treat gets two yums up and a standing ovation!
