For Christmas, my wonderful mom bought me a Clarisonic! I’d been dreaming of one but the price tag. However, after trying it, I’d be more than willing to shell out the cash! I’m lucky she got it for me first : )
My brush came with a sensitive and a normal brush head, as well as three of the Gentle Turbo Cleansers (the white tube) and they’ve quickly become my favorite face wash! I’m glad that you can buy them separately because I’m going to want to replace mine as soon as I run out! It also came with instructions, descriptions of the various brush heads, a charging cradle, and a coupon for a free brush head of your choice when you register your Clarisonic online.
I started mine with the sensitive brush head, as recommended. Immediately, I could feel all the residue settled on top of my skin (makeup, oil, etc.) being gently scrubbed away. The bristles felt amazing on my skin, like a wonderful massage under warm water. Love it!
I save it for the end of my shower, because it’s best to wash your face last-that way no shampoo/conditioner/etc will wind up in your pores. It would be a total shame, because the pores on my face have never been as clean and clear as they are after I use the Clarisonic! All the stubborn blackheads that plague my nose and chin have disappeared, and my skin is smoother than ever. The cleanser itself leaves my skin rejuvenated and refreshed, even when I’ve scandalously used it several times with just a washcloth.
The brush I ordered with the registration was the delicate, just so I could try all three. I actually like the delicate brush better, as my skin is incredibly sensitive. It does the same great job cleaning my skin, but it’s just a little bit more soothing.
Here are some of the advertised perks (all of which I totally agree with!):
- 6 times more makeup removal
- Leaves skin feeling and looking younger and smoother
- Cleanses so well that products absorb better
- Gentle enough for twice daily use
- Helps reduce oily areas, dry skin patches and blemishes
- Helps reduce the appearance of visible pores
- Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Of course, technology’s constantly being outdated! Clarisonic has come up with a new brush that has a third speed and benefits for the body:
- Fewer dry patches
- Gentle exfoliation for softer, smoother skin
- Firmer skin with improved texture
Unfortunately, you can’t buy the body brush to use with the version I have, but it would be a neat feature to have if you’re thinking about buying one. I give the Clarisonic a shining 10 Stars, and cannot recommend it highly enough if you have the money!
You can buy the original version here for $195.
The updated version is here for $225.
If there’s a lucky man in your life, you can buy a set for two here for $350.
My favorite Clarisonic face wash is here for $25.
If you order directly from Clarisonic, brush engraving is free. However, I do advise shopping around-my mom compared the deals on Sephora, Clarisonic, and QVC. Mine came from QVC, but since promotions are always changing, finding the best deal will take a little shopping around!
