Hey guys! I know that this month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and you’ve probably already started making your donations… But I have another worthy cause to bring up!
On October 11th, I’m going to be doing a local walk for Autism. I grew up with a great Autistic friend who I still occasionally run into, and he never ceases to amaze me. Regardless of how wonderfully friendly and intelligent he is, I know that his Autism has taken a toll on his family, as well as his ability to live a “normal” life. I also worked with a wonderful woman at Macy’s (when I worked with Estee Lauder) who shared the beautiful story of raising a son with Autism, and though I’ve never met him, he will be in my thoughts as well.
I’m not going tell you a long sob story about my experiences with Autism, but I just want to say please-if you have any money that you could spare, even just a dollar, I would truly appreciate it…Â And so would the thousands upon thousands of families dealing with the reality of Autism every day.
If you’re willing to give, please click here and sponsor me directly!

Hello!
Could only donate 10 dollars, but they say every bit helps, right?

Thank you so much, Ieuan! Every bit does help!

I put in $10 too. I know all about Autism…. My husband and most of his family and extended family on his father’s side all have Aspergers which is on the high Functioning End of the Autism spectrum.
So many people are afflicted with Aspergers and don’t even know it… I think it’s rampant and I hope they find the cause or a cure…

My friend growing up and my coworker’s son have Aspergers, as well as one of my favorite authors. “Look Me In The Eye” is an amazing book from the perspective of the author, in regards to his Aspergers, if you’re interested!
In any case, thank you so much for your donation-also we’ll be talking about this! Hah, I’m really fascinated.
