This afternoon, I had my first shower with Philosophy’s Black Licorice High Foaming Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath. I cannot tell you how excited I was to try this product, and I didn’t experience a second of disappointment!
I only used Black Licorice as a Shower Gel, as I wasn’t sure how it would react with my recently colored hair-and I certainly wouldn’t be taking a bath in my dorm, even if that was an option! As soon as I poured some of the gel into my hand, I felt like I was in the old fashion down town candy shop; you know, the one with all the penny candy?
Even without a loofah or washcloth, the scent was amazing. Even better, the smell lingered long after I was done with my shower; I ducked into the bathroom a few minutes ago and there was still the faint smell of licorice, even two hours after my shower.
The scent isn’t sickeningly sweet, nor is it too faint to detect on the skin. Instead, it’s the perfect balance… and totally made my mouth water. Boyfriend Bonus? Black licorice is among the top scents that trigger female arousal (as noted above).
Other Halloween scents include Pumpkin Spice Muffin and Caramel Apple. While you can get them each for $16 apiece, Philosophy is selling the three scents in a Haunted House Trio for only $30! Look out for a review of the other two scents from The Fashionable Housewife… She was lucky enough to get the other two! I’m crossing my fingers that I might score some before Halloween, because they’re the perfect treat!
