This weekend, I shoe-shopped like a mad woman. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to leave the dorm… Or the money to spend! So, I did a ton of internet browsing and a LOT of drooling. Here are the results!
Women’s Postage Skechers, on sale for $39.99. Now, you probably know by now that I hate flat shoes… But I hate falling on my ass in front of people because I’m wearing ridiculously high shoes on icy ground, too. I also have craptastic circulation, which means that my hands and feet get icy around October, and don’t thaw until about May. However, I have a feeling that these sweet slip ons might be the answer! First off, the knit fabric is warm and cute, without looking like you borrowed your shoes from Grandma. Second, they’re lined with fleece and have a cushioned insole: comfort and warmth, two of my very best friends. Last, they’re totally durable for those winter months: canvas piping, shock absorbing midsole made of foam, and a rubber body. All the style with none of the slippage!
Next up are the Women’s Luck Skechers. $69.99 is definitely in the price range that makes me cringe, but hey, they’re $10 off. That’s something, right? Right?!
However, all the customer reviews give them a 5/5 star rating, which is definitely something to think about when selecting boots-when you can’t go to the store and try them on yourself, don’t forget to see what people who’ve already slipped them on had to say!
They also feature a cushioned insole, shock absorbing midsole, and a durable rubber bottom. Oh, and you can’t forget that they feature a “pleated shaft.” Frankly, that just sounds painful… But at least the boots are cute!
If you prefer a more subtle shaft, you might prefer these Woman’s Canary Skechers. WHY Canary? I have no idea. Perhaps these boots will inform you of toxic air in small, dark settings. Unfortunately, they are not available in yellow… They do, however, come in black (pictured) and sand.
For $69.99, you get the whole shebang… A microsuede upper, a faux fur (thank god!) lined shaft, and the cushioned insole/shock absorbing midsole that seem to be the center of Skecher’s designs. Hey, I’m not complainin’.
More good news? 22 out of 23 customers recommend ’em!
Now, if you prefer to spend your days more indoor than out, don’t worry… I gotcha covered. These Gigi pumps (by Connie), for example! I’m been searching for a pair of classic black pumps-my are getting a little too worn for my taste–and these might just be them!
I really like that the toe is rounded, but not overly so… The slightly pointed shape keeps the classic, feminine feel, while the avoidance of a very pointy tip still provides some comfort. Comfort is definitely a factor for me when I’m wearing anything with a 3.5″ heel!
Pricing is a little strange on these babies: $34.99 for black (pictured), $19.99 for navy, and $36.99 for oxford brown. Okay, then?
Doesn’t this pair look almost identical?! Nope, not another design by Connie… These are Eden, by Wanted. If you prefer a patent finish, these are the way to go. It’s faux leather, so they should be vegetarian friendly. While your conscious might be comfortable in these babies, your feet might be a little pissed… The Eden’s are a whopping 3.75″! Now that’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout!
They’re also cheaper, too! The black patent (pictured) will run you only $19.99, while the brown patent are a reasonable $24.99. At that price, why not buy both?
Finally, for the quirky shoe lover… I bring you Action, from Nickels.
I’m seriously in love with these shoes. I don’t know what it is-the sleek, sensuous lines, or the Jackie O-esque buttons, but these just scream modern and classy. The open toe is another great feature. Since I love heels, my toes are often begging for a little release. Of course, I don’t like to let them go naked in the colder months, but a pair of nude or brown tights will make this outfit ultra chic.
For $34.99 you can grab a pair in this delicious brown/cream combination.
Happy Tuesday, loves!
