Hey guys! It’s time to play “Who’s in my mouth?” Kidding, kidding. The name of the game: “What’s in my Shower?” (Sorry to disappoint you, but I am currently NOT in my shower. No nude pics… today, at least!)
Here’s your visual:Yeah… I freakin’ ROCK at lettering random items with Paint Shop!
A., B., C.: Contents of Oscar Blandi’s Tempo! Hair Treatment Trio. In alphabetical order–Trattamento Di Jasmine Smoothing Hair Treatment, Trattamento al Fango(Mud Mask), Trattamento D’Alternanza Exfoliating Treatment. My personal favorite is the Smoothing Treatment-I bought a full size one last time I was at Sephora! The whole thing retails for $30 (and includes an in shower timer that I’ve yet to figure out) but since they only really need to be used once or twice a week, the investment will last you a long time! Plus, they leave my hair and scalp feeling great!
D. Trial Size Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser. I got this as a freebie with a pack of their pore strips, and I gotta say: I ain’t hatin’ it! The texture is really nice and creamy, the wash foams up the perfect amount and it has a great tingling sensation. The bottle has plenty o’ washes left in it, but I will definitely consider buying a bottle when I run out. A 6 o.z. bottle only runs you $6.29 at drugstore.com!
E. Clean & Clear in Shower Facial. Temptalia reviewed this product over on her blog, so I grabbed a bottle on my trip to Target later that day. I LOVE IT! I put it on before I shave my legs, then follow up with the massaging step once I’m done with them. It smells great, feels pleasant, and leaves my skin super-soft. If you’re curious as to what Temptalia has to say, check out her review. She gave it a 5 out of 5, and so do I! She’s got plenty of other great stuff to read, so don’t hesitate to check out the rest of her site!
F. Philosophy Red Apple Shower Gel. It says you can use it as a shampoo, but I haven’t dared… I’m afraid the blood red color of the gel will stain my oh-so-(un)natural blonde hair. However, it has a great lather and a mouth watering smell. I seem to have gotten a defective bottle, so the red leaks EVERYWHERE (perfect for a low budget horror film, but no much else). The bottle is also *huge* so I’m not going to run out anytime soon… although I sort of wish I would, just so I could try some of the other scents! I’ve got my eye on Cherry Cola and Peach! 16 oz bottles retail for $16 over at Sephora.com-but check out a wider selection of scents on Philosophy’s own site.
G. & H. This is the Ojon Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner Duo I got with my dry shampoo from QVC.com. Both leave my hair silky and tangle free… even after five days without a wash or comb! Impressive! Then again, I’ve yet to find a single disappointing product from the whole Ojon line. More on the rest of their products later!
I. Possibly the best and most frequently used item in my shower… *drum roll please* Suave for Kids 2-in-1 Cherry Blast Shampoo! I love this product for so many reasons! First, the last several times I’ve gone to the salon, my hair wound up more orange than blonde (tip? I think not!). Suave’s kids shampoos are gentle enough to take care of my damaged strands, but also ballsy enough to strip the color down to the white blonde I was aiming for (DO NOT USE IF YOU LIKE YOUR PROCESSED COLOR!!!!). Second, the shampoo also strips away any product buildup in my hair, leaving it healthy, shiny, and very clean. Third? The smell! I love Cherry Blast, but I’m antsy to try some new scents–I’m thinking Wild Watermelon. Fourth? A 12 oz bottle has lasted me at least six months, and it cost around $3!!!
J. & K. Frederic Fekkai’s Sensitive Scalp Shampoo & Conditioner. At $22 a pop, these were definitely a splurge. However, one of those stylists that decided I might want to try out as a freakin’ muppet ALSO burned my scalp with too much bleach. If only my health insurance covered THOSE sort of mishaps. I invested in the set in order to soothe the burning (which I still haven’t recovered from entirely, even though I’m much more frugal about bleaching my hair now). I also picked up Fekkai’s Sensitive Scalp Exfoliating Tonic ($30/8 treatments), but I wasn’t incredibly impressed. Then again, that might have more to do with the severity of my scalp’s distress than the product itself.
L. Trial size of Clinique’s Sparkle Skin Body Exfoliator. I don’t even remember getting it, but I certainly enjoy it… When I remember to exfoliate. Bad Beauty Sniper!
M. Clinique Exfoliating Scrub. I really love this product, as the mentholated smell is very relaxing, and it leaves my skin feeling like porcelain. I’ve had this product since back in September, and there’s still plenty to go, after using it once or twice a week every week since then.
N. Shaving cream… I believe it’s a Skintimate with some sort of pear scent. I’ve used it… once? And I’m too lazy to go check. Yeah, I know. Fail.
O. Clinique Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam. This sucker’s one of my favorites. I rarely use it on my face because I find it a *tiny* bit drying–but it’s fantastic on my back and shoulders. Plus, I love anything that lathers!
(The following are on a little shelf I forgot to photograph-sorry!)
P. (Not pictured). Gilette Venus Breeze Razor. My one and only. ‘Nuff said.
Q. (Not pictured). Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion scrub. I got a sample and a rave review from Miss Sephora Diva… but I’m not thrilled. The smell isn’t particularly tempting, and it doesn’t impress me to a point where I’d but it (at $7 more for several ounces less) over my Clinique Exfoliator. I’ll use the rest of the sample, but begrudgingly!
R. Trial size Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. Liz Earle doesn’t get NEARLY enough attention on this side of the pond! Her products are natural, beautifully packaged, and a treat to use. This cleanser actually came as a little gift when I ordered her trial size facial treatment package, and I’ve been clamoring for more ever since!
NOTE: Everything in the shower NOT labeled/explained belongs to my boyfriend. I buy him the majority of his products–since I treat & pamper myself, I figure that I might as well do the same for him–so they’re primarily from Jack Black & Clinique’s Mens Line. He also has some Aussie products for his enormous hair, and a men’s body wash from The Body Shop. If anyone’s interested, I’d be happy to list his products, too!
Now… You’re it! I want to know what’s in YOUR shower!
Finally Bathed,
The Beauty Sniper
