Hey Guys! Today’s lip lover is Bare Escentual’s Buxom Lips. I got mine as a Beauty Insider Perk from Sephora-I couldn’t resist glittery finish! Usually I don’t do the whole “mineral makeup” thing, but since I have it, I might as well give it a try!
What they have to say:
“Naturally creates the look of fuller, more voluptuous lips. This mineral-infused polish imparts a luminous high shine with no sticky or tacky feeling. A deep infusion of antioxidant vitamins A and E help keep lips soft, smooth, and protected, while the tingly and cooling sensation reminds you that your lips are getting an immediate increase in fullness.”
What I have to say…
Application: Contradictory to the statement above, the gloss is a tiny bit sticky. However, it smells amazing-simultaneously minty and sweet. The gloss looks gorgeous though, and the tingly is pleasant, rather than torturous. The shade I’m testing is “Dominique,” and I’m quite fond of the glitter in the formulation. However, if you’re looking for a clear gloss without the glitter, “Krystal” is a better option for you-all of the shine but none of the craft-closet ingredients!

15 Minutes: I’m still browsing the shades available on Sephora. There are currently 11 shades available for $18 a piece. Bianca, Brandi, and and Candi are the ones I’m lemming right now. The boyfriend and I concur, however-we’re not sure if there are any plumping results. He does, however, say that my lips “look really nice.” I’ll take it!
30 Minutes: Okay, I LOVE the tingly feeling this gloss gives. Unfortunately, my lips aren’t any bigger… However, the shine from the particles in the gloss do make them look a little bit fuller when I’m not obsessively studying them. Not by any means the best plumper, but I think I have a new favorite gloss!
Overall: In my opinion, this if a fantastic gloss. However, since the plumping results weren’t particularly amazing, I’d go for B.E.’s regular gloss and not spend an extra $4 on the plumping version. If you’re going to go that route, I’d opt for either “Purr” or “Garden”. Both are gorgeous, flattering shades that will compliment your summer attire, but also take you right into fall!
Glossy Lipped,
